Home About
The world has become too complex to tackle issues alone.
Resilience is not only about absorbing crises but about preventing them from happening in the first place – and if crises do occur, resilience means the ability to bounce forward with increased strength. We coordinate advocacy to build societal resilience to overcome shifts, change, and crises. Our network of partners – from civil society to governments and the private sector – works together on policy, advocacy, funding mechanisms, and coordinated action across health and pandemics, biosecurity and defence, finance, and climate.
Instead of 100 different asks from 100 different organisations, we coordinate strategic collective action. This means connecting health advocates with climate campaigners, security experts with finance professionals, and government officials with community leaders.
Rani (which stands for Resilience Action Network International) was first established as the Pandemic Action Network in response to the COVID-19 crisis. We have successfully worked with hundreds of network partners to help deliver progress in pandemic preparedness policy and financing, including playing our part in helping deliver a historic pandemic agreement, build biosecurity networks, and we have co-created the MFF Hub, a coalition of over 100 organisations advocating for an increase in EU development funding.
